I started grappling in the Army in 2001. I began training jiu-jitsu under Professor Piet Wilhelm of Triton Fight Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma in 2012. I trained under Professor Wilhelm until 2016 and attained my purple belt under his tutelage. I moved to Longview, Washington and taught no-gi grappling for two years at Tula Yoga and Jiu-jitsu while training Jiu-jitsu with brown belt Robert Slape. After moving back to Oklahoma in 2019, I began training under Professor Omar French, a first degree black belt under Professor Piet Wilhelm. I was given my brown belt by Professor French in October of 2019. I was given my black belt in April of 2024.
